Day 1 | Italy-Barcelona
Convocation of participants at the chosen airport, completion of boarding formalities and departure to Barcelona. Arrival, transfer to the hotel and meeting with the accompanying person. Dinner in a restaurant a few minutes from the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 2 | Barcelona
Breakfast at the hotel. Morning dedicated to a panoramic visit of the vibrant capital of Catalonia, at the forefront in all areas, from economics to theatre, to design that alternates between Gothic and Modernism. Visit of the more places emblematic of the city, Plaza Catalunya one of the largest in Europe, the Passeig de Gracia where the main buildings designed by the famous Gaudi, in modernist style, are located. We continue with a visit of the exterior of the Sagrada Familia, an unfinished work by the great architect. Lunch in a restaurant. Afternoon at leisure for visits of special interest or shopping. We suggest a stroll along Las Ramblas, the city's liveliest avenue, with a myriad of cafés, restaurants, street artists and bars of all kinds, and then on to the port area and the new Olympic Port, also full of life and nightlife. Overnight stay.
Day 3 | Barcelona/Valencia (km 348)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Valencia, Spain's third largest city, which presents a perfect fusion of ancient and modern. Lying on fertile land and softened by a mild Mediterranean climate, it is rich in orchards and surrounded by beautiful public gardens. Arrival at the hotel and lunch. In the afternoon, we will start the panoramic tour with the Gothic Cathedral, flanked by the "Micalet", an octagonal bell tower, symbol of the city; the Lonja de la Seda, one of the most beautiful of Spain (the old merchants' exchange) and the old market. In addition, all the new architecture by Santiago Calatrava, a well-known Valencian 'archistyle', is enclosed in the 'City of Sciences and Arts', a symbol of a modern, contemporary city. Return to the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 4 | Valencia/Toledo/Madrid (km 444)
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure for Toledo, a city declared a National Monument for its exceptional historical and artistic importance. Located on a hill overlooking the Tagus River, in the New Castile, it preserves important treasures of Moorish Art. In the afternoon, guided tour through the narrow medieval streets where you can admire: the Church of San Tomé, the Synagogue, S. Maria la Blanca and the imposing Cathedral of Gothic architecture with a visit inside. Continuation to Madrid. Arrival at the hotel, dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5 | Madrid
Breakfast at the hotel. The morning is dedicated to a guided tour of the Spanish capital, a cosmopolitan city located in the centre of the country and home to more than 3 million people, which encompasses art, history and culture. Its intense cultural and artistic activity and lively nightlife make it unique. Start of the visit with the 'historical heart' of the city where you will find the famous Plaza Mayor, the main square and Plaza de la Villa dating back to the medieval period, until recently the seat of the capital's municipality; then continue with the wonderful fountains of Cibeles and Neptuno along the Avenida de la Castellana, the Stock Exchange, the Parliament, the Royal Palace (exterior) and its theatre. Lunch in a restaurant with 'tapas' (snacks). Afternoon at leisure and free time for visits of special interest or shopping, or simply strolling along the bustling streets of the centre. Overnight stay.
Day 6 | Madrid/Avila/Segovia/Madrid (km 266)
Breakfast at the hotel. In the morning departure and visit to the city of Avila where you can admire the imposing medieval walls enclosing the centre and the Cathedral with its marvellous altarpiece. We continue to Segovia and visit the city, where we can admire its spectacular 128-arch aqueduct from the Trajan era and the Alcazar, a castle that was the inspiration for Walt Disney's "Sleeping Beauty" fairy tale. Return to Madrid in the late afternoon. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel.
Day 7 | Madrid/Saragossa/Barcelona (km 630)
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Zaragoza. Arrival and panoramic visit to one of the most famous shrines in Spain, Nuestra Senora del Pilar, the historical heart of the city. Continuation to Barcelona. Arrival in the evening at the hotel. Overnight stay.
Day 8 | Barcelona-Italy
Breakfast at the hotel. Depending on your departure time, transfer to the airport and return to Italy.
