A study by a famous American pedagogue, Edgar Dale, shows that after two weeks, we retain in our memory only 10% of what we have read, 20 % of what we have heard and 30% of what we have seen. The percentage of memorisation and learning increases considerably, up to 90%, in all those cases in which we are personally involved and actively act in the situation that constitutes the source of learning, i.e. when we live a real experience.
