17 NOVEMBER 2024 - Wonders of Jordan: Departure for Amman Our trip to Jordan begins. We land in Amman and from the airport we are taken to our hotel, where we can have some free time to ourselves before meeting the tour leader and the rest of the group. Depending on our arrival time, dinner will be provided either at the hotel or on board the flight.
18 NOVEMBER 2024 - Amman, Iraq Al-Amir and Al Salt Today begins with a guided tour of Amman. We start at the Citadel, which houses the small National Archaeological Museum, before continuing on to the Roman Theatre and a walk through the souk. We then move on to Iraq Al-Amir, where we have lunch at a women's association, giving us a closer insight into the traditions and lives of Jordanian women. We continue with a visit to Al Salt, the ancient capital of Jordan, a place rich in history and charm. We return to Amman for a free dinner, with an optional dinner in a typical local restaurant.
19 NOVEMBER 2024 - Madaba and the Dead Sea Today we begin our visit with Mount Nebo, an archaeological site where there is a monument dedicated to Moses. We also visit a workshop for the restoration and production of mosaics, a traditional art of this region. We then move on to Madaba to admire the Map of the Holy Land, the great Byzantine mosaic inside the modern Church of St George. After lunch, we reach the Dead Sea, where we have some time to float on its magical waters before dinner at the hotel.
20 NOVEMBER 2024 - Shobak, Beida and Petra In the morning we have a few more hours to relax at the Dead Sea, or we can join an optional visit to the site of Bethany beyond the Jordan, the place where John the Baptist baptised Jesus, considered one of the main sites of the Christian religion and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then leave together for a visit to the Crusader fortress of Shobak, followed by lunch. In the late afternoon, we make a brief stop at Little Petra (Beida), where the caravans from Arabia and the East on their way to Syria and Egypt used to stop. The day ends with dinner at the hotel in Petra and an optional visit by night to admire the atmospheric atmosphere of the city.
21 NOVEMBER 2024 - Petra We get up early to visit the wonders of Petra, a unique city carved entirely out of rock. We walk along the Siq, the impressive canyon of prehistoric origin, at the end of which the façade of the Treasury, the city's most famous monument, also immortalised in one of the films in the Indiana Jones saga, appears dramatically. Lunch is free during the visit and in the late afternoon we return to the hotel for dinner.
22 NOVEMBER 2024 - Wadi Rum and Amman We set off for the Wadi Rum desert, also known as the Valley of the Moon. Here, on board a jeep, we explore the dunes and reddish rocks smoothed by the wind, taking time to soak in its evocative atmosphere. After lunch in the desert, we head towards Amman, where we have some free time before dinner at the hotel.
23 NOVEMBER 2024 - Amman, Gadara and Jerash Today we head north to visit the excavations at Umm Qais, formerly known as Gadara. Here Roman ruins stand alongside an abandoned Ottoman village, offering breathtaking views of the Golan Heights and Lake Tiberias. After an included lunch, we travel to Jerash to explore the large archaeological site, which offers a strong emotional impact thanks to its well-preserved ruins. We then return to the hotel for dinner.
24 NOVEMBER 2024 - Amman and return to Italy Our trip to Jordan comes to an end. We still have a few hours to spare before saying goodbye to this fascinating country and its wonders. Depending on the departure time of our flight, we are taken to Amman airport in time for our return to Italy.
The fee for the Wonders of Jordan includes:

Important note: The departure of all our travel guided tours, including guaranteed tours, are confirmed with a minimum of 10 participants. The maximum number of participants is limited to approximately 30/35 persons, depending on bus capacity and group composition.
An entry visa is required to enter Jordan. Please send a copy of your passport to our offices at least 15 days before departure to obtain your visa.
