Itinerary

Day 1, 01 March Italy - Rovaniemi
Departure by scheduled flight to Rovaniemi. Arrival in Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, and transfer to your hotel. Lapland is the ideal place for those dreaming of a winter wonderland. The lights of the small town and Father Christmas Village are bathed in snowy forests where the quiet of a fairytale world reigns. Overnight stay.

Day 2, 02 March Rovaniemi - Father Christmas Village
Breakfast. Start your day by plunging straight into the magic of Lapland. Your first stop will be at Father Christmas Village in the Arctic Circle. You will participate in the traditional ceremony for crossing the Arctic Circle and receive a diploma certifying your visit.
After the ceremony, you will experience a short sleigh ride with the village reindeer, where a hot drink will be served around a bonfire to warm you up a little. Free time to explore the village and to meet the local star, Father Christmas himself, who will be waiting for you in his office. You can also send a card to your loved ones (extra charge - not included) directly from the village post office with Santa's official stamp. Finally, discover the various souvenir shops and enjoy the magical atmosphere of the village. Return transfer to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3, 03 March Rovaniemi - Ranua Polar Zoo - Rovaniemi (160 km)
Breakfast. Visit to a Huskies farm, where you will learn everything there is to know about them, from breeding to daily life. After receiving a series of instructions, you will also have the opportunity to take a short sleigh ride. The excursion ends with some free time to take photos with these beautiful animals. The next stop is at the world's northernmost zoo - Ranua. You will explore the park to admire the animals typical of the Arctic region. The animals here are not confined in cages, but live in fenced areas that reproduce their natural habitat. You will see moose, reindeer, wolverines, Arctic foxes and the majestic polar bear. For lovers chocolate, free time for a visit to the shop of Fazer, a famous Finnish chocolate manufacturer. Return to the hotel, overnight stay.

Day 4, 04 March Rovaniemi (night in a glass igloo)
Breakfast. Day at leisure to explore Rovaniemi and its surroundings.
In the late afternoon, transfer to the village where you will be accommodated in your own heated and comfortable glass igloo, from which you can enjoy a breathtaking view of the surrounding landscape. Dinner included. After dinner, overnight stay in the glass igloo. If the skies are clear and you are lucky, you will be able to admire the Aurora Borealis spectacle right from your warm bed!

We suggest a visit to the Arktikum Museum to learn more about the origin and development of the Arctic region and its inhabitants (Sami). Alternatively, you can opt for a snowmobile excursion, go shopping in town or stroll along the banks of the Ounasjoki River to admire the Lappish landscape. Ask your guide for advice, who will be there to help you make the most of your dream journey in Lapland!
