This exclusive tour will take you to discover the cultural riches and breathtaking landscapes of Tunisia, a destination that welcomes travellers with a rich history. From Tunis to the fascinating historical and artistic treasures of Kairouan, each stage of the trip promises surprises and new adventures.

 

Day 1: Airport - Tunis (-/-/-)
Arrival at Tunis airport, assistance from our team and transfer to Tunis. Free dinner, overnight stay in a hotel. Overnight stay : Royal Victoria Tunis 4* / Fourati Belvédère Tunis 4* / El Mouradi Gammarth 5*.

Day 2:Tunis - Bardo - Carthage - Sidi Bou Said - Hammamet (B/-/D)
After breakfast, we will explore the Medina of Tunis, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to discover its ancient monuments and traditional souks. We will have a panoramic visit of the Kasbah Square and the Ezzitouna and Hammouda Pacha Mosques. Then we will enjoy the lively atmosphere of the local souks. Afterwards, we head to the Bardo Museum, known for its extensive collection of Roman mosaics. In the afternoon, we explore the ruins of Carthage, which include the Hill of Byrsa, along with the ancient harbours and the Baths of Emperor Antoninus. Finally, we travel to Sidi Bou Said, a picturesque village known for its blue-and-white houses with ornate balconies. We leave for the Cap Bon area where we visit a wine cellar and have a tasting of the best Tunisian wines, served with local tapas. We then continue on to Hammamet for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3:Hammamet - El Djem - Matmata - Toujane - Zammour (B/-/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will explore the renowned Roman amphitheatre of El Djem, the third largest in the world with 35,000 seats. Our journey will take us to Matmata, an exceptional Berber village with unique underground dwellings and a landscape evocative of the moon. Visiting a troglodyte house, we will discover its underground architecture and daily life. We will also immerse ourselves in a tour of the famous troglodyte hotel "Sidi Driss", known for its appearance in "Star Wars". Afterwards, we will advance to Toujane, a charming village in the Dhahar Mountains that offers breathtaking views. We will end our day in Zammour, with dinner and an overnight stay in a troglodyte hotel.

Day 4:Zammour - Ksar Hadada - Ksar Ouled Soltane - Douiret - Tataouine (B/-/D)
Breakfast at the hotel. We will begin our exploration of the old Berber granary, Ksar Hadada, famous for its appearance in Star Wars' 'The Phantom Menace'. Next, we will immerse ourselves in the bustling local market of Tataouine and visit a prehistoric museum with fascinating dinosaur bones, enriching our archaeological experience. We continue to Ksar Ouled Soltane, an 18th-century Berber granary with stacked ghorfas to store the harvest. We head towards the village of Ras El Oued, where we will meet Mrs Jazia in her charming troglodyte house to participate in an inspiring Berber cooking lesson. During this unforgettable experience, we will learn how to prepare delicious dishes typical of the region. After this culinary adventure, we will have the pleasure of enjoying a delicious lunch in the company of her family. In the afternoon, we will explore the picturesque Berber mountain village of Douiret, famous for its granaries carved into the rock. Our exploration will lead us to Chenini, a charming Berber village with houses carved into the rock and a small white mosque offering panoramic views of the Dhahar Mountains. Next, we will visit the famous mosque of the 'Seven Sleepers'. Finally, we will head to Ksar Hadada, an old granary converted into a boutique hotel for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5:Ksar Ouled Dabbeb- Guermessa- Douz Desert (B/-/D)
After breakfast, we head to Guermessa, a historical settlement known for its troglodyte houses, built inside natural caves and in the rock of the mountains. Guermessa offers a unique insight into traditional Berber architecture, with its structures integrated into the mountain environment. The village has a picturesque atmosphere and has retained many of its original features over time. Guermessa offers breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and desert landscapes, making your visit a memorable experience. We will then continue on to Douz, known as 'The Gateway to the Desert'. Here, we will visit the village famous for the production of Babucce, traditional footwear made from camel skin. There will also be the option of taking a camel ride through the desert (optional). In the afternoon, we will travel in a 4×4 vehicle to the camp, crossing the vast desert of Erg Orientale. This desert consists of fine ochre-coloured sand and has impressive dunes. At the end of the day, we reach the camp, where you can enjoy one of the most beautiful sunsets on the planet. Dinner and overnight in private tents.

Day 6:Desert - Chott El Djerid - Chebika - Tamerza - Tozeur (B/-/D)
After enjoying an impressive sunrise over the sand dunes, we head to the camp for breakfast. Afterwards, we head towards the vast salt lake, Chott El Djerid, known for its unique landscapes. After a stop to take photographs on this impressive salt lake, we will continue our journey to Tozeur, the oasis city and capital of the province of Bled El Jerid, renowned as 'The Land of Palms'. Here, we explore the old town, characterised by its houses decorated with mud bricks. In the afternoon, we venture out in a 4×4 vehicle to the mountain oases of the Atlas Mountains. We will visit Chebika, an oasis in the middle of the mountains with beautiful natural springs. Afterwards, we will explore the oasis of Tamerza, home to waterfalls and an old abandoned village with breathtaking views. Return to Tozeur, dinner and overnight at the hotel. In the evening, there is the possibility of attending a folklore dinner in the Tozeur oasis (optional).

Day 7:Tozeur- Kairouan-Hammamet (B/-/D)
After breakfast, we head to Kairouan, a city of immense historical significance recognised by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. Kairouan has the honour of being the fourth holiest city in Islam. During our tour, we will explore various places of significance, including the Aghlabidi bacchus, the mausoleum of Abu Zoumaa Al Balaoui, also known as Sid Sahib or the Barber, and the magnificent Great Mosque of Okba. We will also enjoy a panoramic view of the 'Three Gates Mosque'. Entering the heart of Kairouan, we will immerse ourselves in the bustling Medina, characterised by its lively markets and labyrinthine alleys. After our explorations in Kairouan, we head to Tunis, dinner and overnight stay.

Day 8:Tunis - Airport (B/-/-)
Breakfast at the hotel and, depending on your flight schedule, transfer to the airport for your return flight. End of our services.
