Brighton, situated on England's magnificent south coast, is a modern and innovative city. The magnificent coastline, the city's famous pier and the splendid Royal Pavilion, built in the years between 1787 and 1820 as a residence for the Prince of Wales, the future King George IV, give it the title of one of the most famous and visited cities in England. A well-known event that cannot be missed is, at irregular intervals, the 'Big Beach Boutique', where for the occasion a large part of the beach is closed off for a Fatboy Slim concert. Brighton is a cocktail of emotions, music, history, art and much more, ready to be discovered.
The University of Sussex is located in north Brighton, positioned next to none other than the Brighton Hove and Albion football stadium. The university has excellent facilities, from classrooms and sports facilities to modern common areas where students can get to know each other. The student residence is located on campus, they stay in flats of 6 to 8 single rooms with private bathrooms, with communal areas and kitchens, a wonderful opportunity to get to know and make friends with new people.
The safety of the students is the most important thing, which is why there will always be 24-hour security surveillance.
The English language course is taught by native speakers who are highly qualified in teaching English to foreigners. During the first day of class, students will take a language proficiency test in order to be placed in the class most suited to their level.
