Day 1 Food and Wine Tour : Arrival and Welcome Dinner

Wine and Food Tour The experience will begin with a day's arrival at Baglio Occhipinti in Vittoria, an enchanted place that has always been devoted to the cultivation of vines and olive trees and the production of quality wine. It is a place preserved by man in respect of Nature, in which a 17th-century farmhouse stands. Over time, the hamlet expanded to become a true Baglio, where the enclosure walls embrace and protect all the families who work there cultivating the land and harvesting its fruits. Today that place is a charming relais where you can regenerate immersed in the nature of Sicily. After checking in and settling into your reserved room, you will enjoy a candlelit dinner under the olive trees of the estate.

Dinner at Baglio Occhipinti is a sensory journey to rediscover traditional Sicilian cuisine, using seasonal produce from the garden and the catch. The daily menu alternates meat, fish, and vegetarian and vegan dishes, to meet the needs of every guest. The little ones are also the focus of attention: a healthy and tasty dinner is prepared especially for them. During dinner, you can taste four types of locally produced cheeses, accompanied by homemade jams, which will help you rediscover typical Sicilian flavours. Followed by an overnight stay in the Wine Resort.

Day 2 Food and Wine Tour: Relaxation, Outdoor Activities and Tasting

After an Italian breakfast at the property, you can relax with one of two recreational activities on offer: a yoga class or a horseback ride. The peaceful atmosphere and lush nature make Baglio Occhipinti one of the most authentic yoga retreats in Sicily. The philosophy of respect for nature, sustainable choices and attention to every detail emphasise the balance between body, mind and spirit. Alternatively, you can choose a horseback ride through the hills of Vittoria, along the paths of the Monti Iblei, where unspoilt nature offers complete relaxation in the countryside.

For lunch, you will experience a chic picnic. The tablecloth will be laid with silver cutlery, handcrafted ceramics and cushions with precious textures. It will be set among the rows of vines or on the lawns of the large 10-hectare estate, immersed in the Ragusa countryside. In this unique location, the picnic will have the special flavour of delicacies from the garden: freshly baked bread, local cold meats and cheeses, and traditional Sicilian dishes.

In the afternoon, an unforgettable wine and food tasting will await you, discovering fine wines such as Cerasuolo DOCG, the pride of the area and a source of pride for the city of Vittoria. The tasting includes a selection of wines accompanied by local products: platters of cold meats and cheeses, olives, caponata. Day 3 Food and Wine Tour: Visit to Modica and Typical Lunch

After breakfast, get ready to check out and leave Baglio Occhipinti. Before leaving, you might enjoy one last walk around the estate or a moment of relaxation in the garden. In the morning, you will transfer to Modica, about 40 km away, for a tour of the Antica Dolceria Bonajuto 'bean to bar' workshop. Here you will witness a demonstration of the entire chocolate processing cycle, from cocoa bean to finished bar, including the 'beating' phase. This will be followed by a tasting of typical products served in personal boxes, including different types of chocolate, nougat, the 'mpanatigghia (typical Modica biscuit with chocolate and meat), cold chocolate and chocolate liqueur.

The tour will end with lunch at the Antica Osteria dei Sapori Perduti, in the heart of Modica, in the evocative location of an ancient noble palace. Family-run, the osteria offers ancient traditional recipes with a nostalgic flavour, a legacy of the typical, home-style cuisine that has made Modica famous throughout the world. The dishes are rich in history and forgotten flavours, awakening old memories and new sensations. This will be a true plunge into the past, a unique journey on the notes of taste that will allow you to fully savour the true Sicily and its renowned hospitality.

Methods of payment:

• Down payment of 30% at the time of booking
• Balance within 30 days of departure

Cancellation Policy:

• In case of a global cancellation made from 29 days before arrival until 11 days before arrival, a cancellation fee of 40% of the total amount will be charged.
• In the event of a global cancellation from 10 days prior to arrival, and in the event of a No Show, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount will be charged.
