PROGRAMME for Salina

Day 1: MILAZZO - SALINA Your stay will begin at the port of Milazzo, from where you will embark for Salina. Once at the port of Rinella, you will be greeted by the breathtaking panorama of the Aeolian Islands. You will head to the nearby Hotel L'Ariana**** for check-in and room accommodation. The Hotel L'Ariana has the charm of a colonial villa, built at the beginning of the last century on the rock overlooking the sea, and offers all the comforts of a modern hotel. It is undoubtedly the ideal destination for those seeking a totally relaxing holiday in contact with nature. Allow yourself to be lulled by the breeze and the melodious sounds of the waves and spend an unforgettable holiday while admiring the sunset that paints the sky in warm colours.

After settling in, if you had some free time, you could explore the hotel's surroundings. You could take a walk along the coast, breathing in the scents of the Mediterranean scrub, or relax on the beach listening to the sound of the sea. In the late afternoon you will be taken to the hotel for the first scheduled experience, a sunset walking tour. This experience will be an immersion in the magical place made famous by Massimo Troisi's film 'Il postino', Pollara. A walk among the scents of capers and the magic of a unique moment that can only be experienced here! The sunset light, which colours the cliffs orange and pink, will make this a truly unforgettable experience. In the evening, return to the hotel, where you can enjoy a typical dinner at the hotel restaurant, consisting of a choice of two courses prepared with fresh local ingredients. Overnight stay at Hotel L'Ariana, lulled by the sea breeze.

Day 2: SALINA EXCURSION After breakfast, we recommend an excursion on foot or by bicycle to explore the island of Salina. The island is famous for its lush nature and volcanic features. You could visit the picturesque village of Santa Marina Salina, with its cobbled streets and typical white houses.

You can also relax at one of the island's beaches or take a boat trip to explore the hidden bays and coves, where the turquoise waters invite you to dive in. In the afternoon, another organised experience awaits you with pick-up at the hotel: Wine Trekking.

This is a beautiful walk among the most beautiful panoramic vineyards in this area. During the trek, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the sea and the other islands of the archipelago. It will be a journey to be enjoyed with the eyes and the heart to understand the true history of wine-growing, immersed in nature and the scents of the vines.

Afterwards, you will visit a historic wine cellar for a tasty tasting of local products such as capers, olive oil and the prized Malvasia delle Lipari. In the evening, return to the hotel and overnight stay.

Day 3: CAPRERO DI SALINA EXPERIENCE After breakfast, you are free to explore the island and discover all its beauty, taking advantage of the many activities Salina has to offer. You can choose to explore the numerous hiking trails, relax on the beach or visit the island's characteristic villages.

In the afternoon, at a time to be agreed upon, you will head to the farm for the last of the organised activities on the programme, called the 'Salina Caper Experience'. A unique experience to discover Salina's green gold. The farm tour will allow you to visit a caper grove and learn about all the stages of growth, harvesting and processing of the fragrant bud that has a long history in the local economy here.

During the visit, you can learn about the traditions and cultivation methods handed down through generations, and appreciate the work behind each caper. This will be followed by a caper tasting, accompanied by other vegetables produced in the area, such as sun-dried tomatoes and olives, paired with a tasting of three local wines.

This experience will allow you to discover the secrets of one of the most typical ingredients of Aeolian cuisine. In the evening you will return independently to your hotel for an overnight stay, enjoying a quiet evening on the island.

Day 4: RETURN Last breakfast at the hotel and, in the morning according to your wishes, return from the port of Rinella to the mainland. From here, you will continue your journey to your next destination or home. You can take advantage of the last few hours to take a walk along the harbour, buy souvenirs or simply enjoy the view of the Aeolian Islands one last time.

CANCELLATION POLICY

• In case of a global cancellation made from 29 days before arrival until 11 days before arrival, a cancellation fee of 40% of the total amount will be charged.
• In the event of a global cancellation from 10 days prior to arrival, and in the event of a No Show, a cancellation fee of 100% of the total amount will be charged.
