Departure - Amman
Our trip to Jordan begins. We land in Amman and from the airport we are driven to our hotel, where we can have some free time before meeting our tour leader and the rest of the group. Depending on our arrival time, dinner is either at the hotel or on board the flight.

18 NOVEMBER 2024
Amman - Iraq Al-Amir - Al Salt
Today begins with a guided tour of Amman: we start at the Citadel, with its small National Archaeological Museum, continue to the Roman Theatre and stroll through the souk. We move on to Iraq Al-Amir, have lunch at a women's association where we can learn more about the traditions and life of women in Jordan. The day continues with a visit to Al Salt, the old capital of Jordan. We return to Amman for a free dinner, with the possibility of an optional dinner in a typical restaurant.

19 NOVEMBER 2024
Madaba - Dead Sea
We begin today's visits from Mount Nebo, an archaeological site where a monument dedicated to Moses stands, and visit a mosaic restoration and production workshop. We then move on to Madaba to admire the Map of the Holy Land, the great Byzantine mosaic inside the modern Church of St George. After lunch we reach the Dead Sea, where we have some time to float on its magical waters before dinner at the hotel.

20 NOVEMBER 2024
Shobak - Beida - Petra
In the morning we have a few more hours to relax by floating, or an optional visit to the site of Bethany beyond the Jordan, the place where John the Baptist baptised Jesus, an important site of the Christian religion and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. We then leave together for a visit to the Crusader fortress of Shobak, have lunch and in the late afternoon make a short stop at Petra (Beida), where the caravans coming from Arabia and the East and heading to Syria and Egypt used to stop. Dinner at the hotel in Petra and optional visit of Petra by night, to admire it in a particularly impressive atmosphere.

21 NOVEMBER 2024
Petra
We get up early to visit the wonders of Petra, a unique city carved into the rock. We walk through the Siq, the impressive canyon of prehistoric origin at the end of which the façade of the Treasury, the most famous monument also immortalised in one of the films in the Indiana Jones saga, appears dramatically. Lunch is free during the visit, and in the late afternoon we return to the hotel for dinner.

22 NOVEMBER 2024
Wadi Rum - Amman
We reach the desert of Wadi Rum, also known as the Valley of the Moon, and on board a jeep we drive around the dunes and wind-smoothed reddish rocks, taking some free time to enjoy its picturesque atmosphere. After lunch in the desert we reach Amman, where we have some free time before dinner at the hotel.

23 NOVEMBER 2024
Amman - Gadara - Jerash
We leave for the north of the country and visit the excavations of Umm Qais, which the Romans called Gadara: here the Roman ruins stand alongside an abandoned Ottoman village and we can admire the impressive surrounding landscape, with views of the Golan Heights and Lake Tiberias. Lunch is included and in the afternoon we visit Jerash and the large archaeological site with its strong emotional impact. Dinner at the hotel.
