We continue our journey to Bran to visit Bran Castle, known as Dracula's Castle, due to its relationship with Bram Stoker's novel, 'Count Dracula'. The castle was built in the 14th century by the Saxons of Brasov to defend the Bran Pass from the Turkish threat. Situated in a romantic area, the residence of Queen Maria in the interwar period, it is now a museum. In the afternoon we travel to Brasov. The city was founded in the 13th century by the Knights of the Teutonic Order and was for centuries the economic and intellectual centre of the Transylvanian Saxons, who represented the majority of the population until the 19th century. We visit the historical centre with the most important sites: the Black Church, the medieval walls surrounding the old town with medieval-style houses, the Plaza del Consejo and Calle de la Cuerda. Dinner and overnight stay in Predeal.

Breakfast at the hotel and departure for Sighisoara. Visit Sighisoara, known as the best-preserved medieval town in Europe, a UNESCO protected area. This medieval citadel, still inhabited today, was built in several stages between the 14th and 17th centuries. It emerges as a nucleus of massive houses, painted in different colours and distributed in small streets, surrounded by a 7 km long defensive wall with 14 towers. We visit the Clock Tower and the Covered Stairs. We then depart for Harman where we visit the fortified church built in the 13th century on the basis of an ancient Roman basilica. Hărman was fortified in the 15th century and its inhabitants took refuge there in case of siege. Dinner and overnight stay in Predeal.

Day 16/09/2023

After breakfast we will explore the city of Sibiu, one of the Romanian cities that best preserves its medieval layout, with its pedestrian streets, beautiful facades and labyrinthine streets lined with wooden houses. The buildings of the Plaza Grande and Plaza Menor, the Bruckental Palace, and the Bridge of Lies are some of the few monuments that influence the entire city. During the city tour you will see the most important buildings. Visit the Orthodox cathedral. Then we visit the Fagaras fortress conquered by Count Dracula in the 15th century.
