Along the way we will have the opportunity to view various panoramic points of the area, including the Torre delle Ciavole in Piraino, the Castle of Brolo, the port of Capo d'Orlando, the port of Sant'Agata di Militello, and the Castle of Acquedolci. Once we reach Santo Stefano di Camastra, we will make a stop before the long climb to Mistretta, about 20 km with a positive height difference of 1500 metres. We will stop for lunch in Mistretta at the participants' expense, and then continue on to Troina, an ancient village, built on the extreme slopes of the Nebrodi Mountains, located in the province of Enna. Along this last stretch of about 40km, we will be able to admire wonderful naturalistic places, passing points such as the Valley of the Mistretta Waterfalls, Lake Urio Quattrocchi and the Tassita Forest.

Breakfast and departure from Troina, today we will move towards the Ionian coast, with destination Taormina. In the first 45 km or so that will take us to Randazzo, we will also come across wonderful views surrounded by nature, passing by the Nelson Castle and the Saracen Caves in Maniace. From Randazzo, a medieval village rich in historical artefacts at the foot of Mount Etna, we will continue on to Francavilla di Sicilia, first following the nature and river paths of the Alcantara and then Castiglione di Sicilia, one of the most beautiful villages in Italy. We take the road that will lead us to the Ionian coast where we can admire the Alcantara Gorge (short photo stop), also known as the Gole di Larderia, the formation of the Alcantara riverbed dates back some 300,000 years. Once we reach the Ionian coast at Giardini Naxos, the day will end in Taormina, a seductive and somewhat chic location that has stolen the hearts of countless artists, writers and nobles over the centuries.

Breakfast and departure from Taormina, today we will return to the Tyrrhenian coast. Pedalling along the Ionian coast we will touch the municipalities of Letojanni, Santa Teresa di Riva and Roccalumera with a mostly flat route, where we will admire, in addition to the various seascapes, some historical remains such as the Castle of Sant'Alessio Siculo and the Saracen Tower of Roccalumera, until we reach the city of Messina. From here we will cut across from the Ionian to the Tyrrhenian coast, from Colle San Rizzo, which is surrounded by greenery and reaches a maximum altitude of around 510 metres, down to Villafranca.
